BypassData is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No guarantee is made that the software will be error-free, secure, or continuously available.
Use at your own risk
You install and operate BypassData at your own risk. You are responsible for backing up your configuration and data, for the security of the servers you run it on, and for any consequences of how you configure and use it.
Your legal responsibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of BypassData complies with all laws, regulations, and third-party terms that apply to you. BypassData is a general-purpose networking tool and is not intended for, and must not be used for, any unlawful activity. Hiding an IP address is not a licence to break the law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author(s) and contributors of BypassData shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including loss of data, revenue, or profits — arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Third-party services
BypassData routes traffic to upstream proxies and destinations that you choose and control. It has no relationship with, and accepts no responsibility for, those third-party services, their availability, or their conduct. Bundled open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.
Security responsibility
Security depends on how you deploy the software. Keeping proxy ports authenticated, keeping the admin panel local, protecting your credentials, and keeping your systems updated are your responsibility. Misconfiguration — such as leaving a port open on a public address — can expose an unauthenticated relay to the internet.
